Frequently asked questions

A little clarity.
A more confident next step.

You do not need to understand the legal process before reaching out. Here are answers to some of the questions people ask us most often.

Start with your circumstances

General answers.
Individual attention.

These answers provide a starting point, not advice about a specific case. Tell us what happened so we can discuss the details with you.

Do I need to hire an attorney?

Not every situation requires legal representation. A consultation can help you understand the issues, deadlines, and available options before you decide. You are not obligated to hire us after that conversation.

How long will my case take?

There is no reliable timetable that fits every case. Medical treatment, disputed facts, insurance issues, negotiations, and court schedules can all affect the process. We can discuss the factors that matter in your situation.

Will I have to go to court?

Some claims resolve through negotiation; others require a lawsuit or hearing. We explain those possibilities as the case develops. No particular result or timetable can be promised.

What does it cost to talk with you?

Your initial consultation is free. If you decide to hire the firm, we explain the fee agreement and how case expenses are handled before you proceed.

How much is my case worth?

A case cannot be valued from an injury label alone. The facts, medical evidence, effect on your ability to work, applicable law, and available coverage may all matter. Workers’ compensation benefits and personal injury damages follow different rules.

What should I bring to a consultation?

Bring what you have: incident reports, photographs, insurance correspondence, medical records and bills, records of missed work, and important dates. You can contact us before you have all of these materials.

How soon should I ask for advice?

Prompt review helps preserve evidence and identify the deadlines that apply. Do not assume a general deadline covers your situation. Notice requirements and filing deadlines can differ, especially for work injuries or claims involving a government entity.
