$7,000,000 Premises Liability Recovery for Industrial Facility Fall
In 2021, a $7,000,000 recovery was obtained for an elderly man who fell while working at an industrial facility. Falls in industrial settings can cause serious injuries, especially for older workers. These facilities may have hazards such as uneven floors, poor lighting, wet surfaces, debris, unsafe walkways, or unmarked dangers. When property owners or companies fail to keep a worksite reasonably safe, they may be held responsible. This case involved a serious fall that caused significant harm and long-term consequences for the injured man. A full investigation was necessary to determine what caused the fall and whether safer conditions could have prevented it. Premises liability cases at industrial facilities can be complex because multiple parties may be responsible for safety, including property owners, operators, contractors, or maintenance companies. The $7,000,000 recovery reflects the serious impact this incident had on the injured man’s life. Past results do not guarantee future outcomes. $25,000 Personal Injury Settlement After Car Accident Involving Drunk Driver
Client was driving home after leaving her job with the Dept of Transportation. She waited at a stop sign, then suddenly a drunk driver crashed head -on into our client’s car. She was treated and released at a local hospital in Upson County, Georgia. The drunk driver had a blood alcohol level of .262. Our client’s medical bills were $2,500. Powers Law Group demanded the defendant’s insurance company pay the entire policy limits of $25,000 to our client. Their first offer to settle the case was $5,000 and refused to pay our client’s medical bills. We sent several letters to the insurance company and prepared a lawsuit that was about to be filed. Finally, the insurance company agreed to pay their entire policy limits of $25,000 after reviewing the lawsuit we prepared against the drunk driver.
