A place to begin

After an accident,
start with what matters.

  1. Take care of yourself.

Seek the medical care you need. Keep your treatment records, bills, and instructions from your providers.

  2. Preserve the details.

Save photographs, witness information, reports, receipts, and insurance correspondence. Keep copies of what you provide to others.

  3. Understand your options.

Ask us about the claim, the deadlines, and any proposed settlement or release before deciding what to do next.

After a vehicle collision, notify your own insurer promptly and follow your policy’s reporting requirements. Georgia’s auto claim tips.

Clear answers. A place to begin.

You have questions.
Let’s talk them through.

Every injury and claim is different. These answers can help you prepare for a conversation about yours.

Ask About Your Situation

How do I know whether I have a claim?

Tell us what happened and how you were hurt. We can review the circumstances, who may be responsible, and the evidence available. An injury alone does not establish that another person is legally responsible.

How long do I have to take action?

Georgia generally allows two years to file a personal injury lawsuit, but exceptions can change the deadline. Claims involving a government entity may require much earlier written notice. Ask us to review your dates and circumstances promptly.

What compensation may be available?

Depending on the facts and applicable law, a claim may seek compensation for medical care, lost income, reduced earning ability, and pain and suffering. The evidence, responsibility for the accident, and available coverage affect each claim.

What if an insurance company contacts me?

Ask us to review a proposed settlement, release, or request for a recorded statement before you respond. Your obligations to your own insurer may differ from requests made by another party’s insurer.

Will my case go to court?

Some claims resolve through a negotiated settlement; others require a lawsuit. We can explain the options as the evidence develops. No settlement, result, or timetable can be promised.

What does it cost to talk with you?

Your initial consultation is free. We earn an attorney’s fee only if we obtain a financial recovery for you, and we advance the costs of pursuing your case. Ask us to explain the fee agreement and how case expenses are handled.

What should I bring to the consultation?

Bring what you have: accident reports, photographs, witness details, insurance information, medical records, bills, and records of missed work. You can still contact us if you do not have all the paperwork.
