Experience with perspective
A career built on
understanding people.
Jeff’s path to representing injured people began in the courtroom and took him inside insurance defense. Those experiences helped him recognize where he wanted to devote his career: standing with people and families who need an advocate.
01
Inside the courtroom.
After law school, Jeff joined the Bibb County District Attorney’s Office. During three years as a prosecutor, he represented victims and the community in felony jury trials.
02
The insurer’s perspective.
Jeff then joined a local firm handling insurance defense cases. That work gave him insight into the practices insurers use to evaluate and deny claims.
03
In his clients’ corner.
Since 2000, Jeff’s practice has centered on representing injured people and their families. He brings that experience to personal injury and workers’ compensation matters.
In Jeff’s own words
“Our goal is to represent all of our clients the way we’d hope to be represented if we were in their place.”

Beyond the law office
Part of the community
he serves.
Jeff and his wife, Katie, have two adult daughters and share a commitment to giving back to Middle Georgia.
Katie founded Book ’Em, which partners with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office to put books into children’s hands. Powers Law Group is the organization’s primary fiscal sponsor.
At Rosa Taylor Elementary in Macon, that support helped give every student the opportunity to choose four new books to keep.
